As I sit at Coffee Slingers, a lightbulb went off in this head of mine.
These are the mornings I will look back on and think, “Man, my twenties were amazing.”
I hope someday, in my late, late thirties when I have a few tiny humans of my own, I look back on mornings like this and smile.
And remember when I didn’t have to take care of anyone but myself, I could think in silence, I started working in the 6 o’clocks and I watched the sunrise from a downtown coffee shop.
Life is good.

What a lovely post! Yes, you will. And then you’ll hit your 40s, and the tiny hands will be bigger, and you’ll realize you have time to yourself again…and you’ll appreciate it even more…
Why thank you, Alisa! How is your morning? And, that not-so-tiny human of yours?
These are some of the best days of our lives. We can do whatever we want, when we want. Sounds like you have had an excellent morning already. Happy Friday my dear!
What a wonderful perspective and attitude! I have noticed that life changes frequently, almost constantly, and almost always for the better. Enjoy every year, every month, every day just as you are. Great to meet you Saturday!! Love that photo of you with the tiger cub : )
Marie – I’m so glad we got to meet, too! I hope you have a great day! Seriously – you’re amazing
