I’m moving to Charlotte.

Exactly one year ago today, T and I spoke for the first time. Actually, it was a tweet. This conversation happened after Marek tweeted her excitement that her two friends were meeting IRL. Read as: In real life.

If you remember, I stood them up. Why on earth would I meet some random dude at trivia night? I wouldn’t. So, I didn’t. Man, I almost messed this up.

Moving To Charlotte

A year later, I’m packing boxes to move halfway across the country. There’s no turning back now… you should see what I wrote on Canvasing Chickasaw Country.

It’s true. I’m moving. Charlotte, I hope you can handle all this jelly.

Does this mean I have a job? Yep. and, it’s awesome.
Does this mean T will be driving the U-Haul? Absolutely.
Does this mean I had a slight panic attack last weekend? No, of course not.
When am I moving? 3 weeks.

I’m officially rural gone urban, gone really, really urban.

  1. Congrats on your new journey! :-)

  2. Best of luck with your move and the new adventure!

  3. It’s terrifying, yup. But I’m so excited for you. This big adventure could have stopped anyone in their tracks or made them take the easy way out instead of choosing love — you grabbed the bull by the horns and proved just how epically AWESOME. you are.

While I’m sad that you and I won’t live “like, a state away from each other” anymore, I’m super stoked that you met the man who’s the onion rings to your baby back ribs, the french fries to your burger, the pig to your blanket, and I just realized how hungry I am.

    Anyways…yeah. Go get ‘em, tiger.

  4. Welcome to NC! You will love the east coast!!

  5. What will you do for your new job?

  6. Don’t mind me…I just had to find tissues. They are happy tears for your new exciting life. This gives me a reason to road trip and a place for you to stay when you come back to visit.

[...] But before I tell you all about it, I would like to tell you a bittersweet story. You see, I have a friend named Brooke. She came into my life as soon as I started my job last February. Within weeks, we were hanging out outside of work, reading each other’s minds, going on road trips. You know, typical friend things. Right after I started working at Koch, Brooke began dating one of my lovely friends – Travis. Rather than rehashing all of the awesome details of their relationship, I suggest you read about it over on Rural Gone Urban. [...]
