N.A.M.B.

Blogging is a way to express my creativity while sending a mass message to all my family and friends the things that are going on in my life. Honestly, this blog saves me a lot of minutes on the phone. If it was still ’02 and we were paying by the minute – I’d be in big trouble, dude.

Here’s the deal. I love blogging and I love tiny humans; however, I’m not a mom. Therefore, I’m not a mommy-blogger.

I’m not a hater, either.

From time-to-time people who know I have a blog will categorize me as a “Mommy blogger.” Although my uterus is flattered, I haven’t signed a 9 month lease agreement with a fetus. Clearly, this means I’m missing an integral piece of the mommy-blogger criteria.

With that said, a few of you moms with blogs are quite hilarious. (Humor is my love language.) I like to creep on your posts until you start toeing that line with that stuff I’m not nearly ready to learn about.

For those of you who are like me, and haven’t answered to “mom,” yet – it’s okay to not be a mommy blogger. We have stuff to say, too!

  2. Rock on! I love this “I am not a mommy blogger”. I hope that I have a while before I can even consider being a “mommy blogger”.

  3. This badge is crackin me up! I’m also not a farmwife (not that there’s anything wrong with that, some of my closest friends are farmwives).

    • I’m glad you get a good laugh out of it! I’m hoping it will slowly start spreading in the blogging community!

  5. I love this!
One of my journalism prof’s dismissed all my comments on social media by calling me “just a mommy blogger.” Ugh! First of all, I have no kids and second, I get more hits per post and I have 3x as many twitter followers than him! Grrr!
I hope he stops by my blog and sees this badge!

    • Whoo hoo! I think there are a lot of us “not-a-mommy-blogger” types! We must stick together! :-)

      • Well I have to apologize for posting the same damn thing multiple times. I don’t know what happened please feel free to delete them…haha!
