Strawberry Rhubarb Pie (smoothie)

Is it just me - or was I the only one who was trained that family gatherings revolve around one common denominator: food. When I think about Thanksgiving, my taste buds go on a euphoric roller coaster ride of angel food cake, pumpkin pie, green beans {from the previous summer's garden}, perfectly baked turkey. I'm embarrassed at how many calories I can consume during one Thanksgiving meal.

Here's the really embarrassing factor: as a child of a typical American home I have five thanksgiving meals. Note: It's not embarrassing the fact of an awesome family tour of family members, I'm talking about my inability to pace myself.

So, today, while I was dreaming the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie my granny use to make, I decided to make a healthy-version for lunch.

I've been on this health kick for a while and have been making smoothies for breakfast. This morning: strawberry rhubarb!

To be honest, I was a bit leery of it myself, but it was so good!

{Blender + frozen strawberries + frozed rhubarb slices + skim milk = lunch.}
