Recipe Fail: Campfire Chili
There’s nothing like camping in the great outdoors with the anticipation of a hearty campfire meal. You scour the internet for the perfect recipe, you consult your beloved recipe books, you pack the appropriate spices, and you watch over the dutch oven like a hawk.
Then the worst happens. Your carefully-curated chili falls into the campfire.
The lesson: be not afraid of checking out local fare.
It’s all about the memories, though. We’ll always remember our first campfire fail. Especially since it was my husband’s fault.
And, as long as we’re sleeping under the stars the meal doesn’t matter anyway.
