Applying business practices to your life.

It’s not going to be easy, but it’ll be worth it.

Recommendations from a regular human, who is absolutely not medical, legal, accounting, etc., et. al counsel.

I am, however, a business owner and tenured strategic communications consultant who received a breast cancer diagnosis the same day I became a mother.

This course overlays how I implement business practices into my personal life to ensure we’re able to do more of what we love and less of what we don’t.

Take note:

  1. While you will hopefully, knock on wood, never receive a cancer diagnosis and a baby on the same day, life will most likely throw you curveballs. These lessons guide you as you create a foundation that allows your household to continue running if you’re not able to be the captain.

  2. We will absolutely work to acknowledge estimated and actual workloads. I guarantee there is a lot of work you do for yourself and for your family that you don’t recognize or grossly underestimate the time investment.

  3. As a business owner, prioritizing scalability for potential sale is part of an overall strategy to ensure you’re replaceable and the processes are in place to quickly and efficiently transfer responsibilities. If this causes big feelings*, for the sake of this practice, I am giving you permission to think of yourself as a business owner.

* big feelings are necessary and normal. None of this is easy.
